When I opened the package, I could smell green tea well.

This is a bite-size pie containing green tea chocolate.

The pie is very crunchy.
The green tea chocolate is so rich.
This is very tasty.

This is the new product of CHOCO PIE.
 

It is a green tea cake filled with green tea cream, and coated with chocolate.
The green tea cake and cream have thick taste of green tea.

That is very delicious !!

Ebi Mayo twister by KFC

Today, I'd like to introduce the new menu of KFC.

This is the new menu,"Ebi Mayo twister".
It is released on December 26, 2015.

Ebi Mayo twister means Fried Shrimp twister.
The price is 360 yen.

This twister is a Fried Shrimp and fresh lettuce with pepper mayo and all wrapped in a soft warmed tortilla.
The pepper mayo source is spicy and delicious.
The Fried Shrimp has elastic palate feeling.

Good old home cooking : Dango jiru

My mother cooked a Japanese home cooking, " Dango jiru".

Dango jiru is a Japanese soup with dumplings.
It is a local specialty of Oita Prefecture.
The hometown of my mother is Oita.

This soup is the soy sauce-based soup with a lot of vegetables.
The dumplings are soft and sticky.

This soup made our bodies warm.
It is so delicious !!

Homophone : Ame

Hello.

This is May in Japan.

It snowed heavily a few days ago,but it rained today.

We call the rain "Ame" in Japanese. 

It has a homophone.

We also call the candy "Ame" in Japanese. 

They are homonyms, but the representation in Chinese characters is different. 

The rain is written in Japanese as 雨.

The candy is written in Japanese as 飴.

Wa no Big Thunder

I found the new product, so I introduce it, today.

This is it, Wa no Big Thunder.
It is a new product released on January, 2016.
It is sold only at Seven-Eleven.

It was sold at the same time as "Wa no Black Thunder" which I introduced last time.

It is a big cookie coated with chocolate.
The cookie is made of brown sugar which produced in Okinawa.

This is very thin, but it is so crispy.
I feel the taste of brown sugar strongly.

It is sweet and delicious.

Black Thunder : Wa no Black Thunder Kinako

I introduced "Black Thunder" before.
I found the New Black Thunder, so I introduce it, today.

This is it, Wa no Black Thunder Kinako.
It is a new product released on January, 2016.

It is sold only at Seven-Eleven.

"Wa" means Japanese style.
This is the Black Thunder containing Kinano(soy flour) and puff of soy.
It is Japanese style to use Kinako.

The flavor of Kinano(soy flour) is so good, and it matches with chocolate well.

This is a Japanese style chocolate !!

The strongest cold weather took us !!

The strongest cold wave in this winter hit West Japan, today.

The snow was piled up more than 10cm around my house.
It kept snowing all day.
The cold wave paralyzed the local transportation network.

Fortunately, I had a day off today.
But I couldn't go anywhere.

I wish it would not snow tomorrow....

In Japan, many vending machines are installed outdoors.



It is inconceivable to foreigners that vending machines are installed outdoors.
I realized this situation for the first time, when I went abroad.


There are few crimes with the vending machine in Japan.
So, I think that such a situation is possible in Japan.

The vending machine is "Jido-hanbaiki" in Japanese.
Japanese people often call "Jihanki" for short.

It is released in 1979.
It has always been a popular sweets.

There are 9 sweets of individual package in this product and the price is around 350 yen.
In addition, there are 2 more kinds, 6 of that product in one box, and 2 of that product in one pack.

It is a sponge cake filled with cream, and coated with chocolate.
It is very moist and tastes good.

I've loved this sweets since I was a kid.

This is the green tea cookie coated with green tea chocolate.

It has a strong fragrance of green tea.
The green tea chocolate is is not very sweet.

A cold wave attacked Japan.

The heavy snow paralyzed the traffic.

I received a souvenir from my work colleagues.
Today I'd like to introduce the souvenir.

This is a souvenir from Tokyo.

This sweets is sold by Paris Ogawaken.
They cannot send this product, only for store sale.

It is a sweets consisting of two cookies with butter cream and rum raisin in between.
The cookies are very rich thick butter cookies.
The texture of butter cream is soft.

It is very delicious !!!
I was surprised at the taste !!

Potato chips : Kyusyu soy sauce

Today I'd like to introduce a unique product of potato chips.

This is the potato chip of Kyusyu soy sauce.
It is sold by Koikeya.

This is a product of the Kyushu District limitation.

The soy sauce of Kyushu is sweet a little, and mild.
So, this taste is soy sauce,but it is sweet a little.

That is delicious to me, because I get used to this taste.
However, I think that other local people feel the taste is too sweet.

I found the unique product of Coconut sable, so I'd like to introduce it. 

This is the unique product, "Coconut curry sable".

It was released in the summer ,2015. 

This was a product of the limitation in the summer of 2015. 

This is a sable cookie containing coconut with curry powder. 

It is spicy, and it has the sweetness of coconut.

The taste seemed like the Masaman Curry which is the origin in southern Thailand.

It was tasty.
I couldn't stop eating it !!

A souvenir : Awa Ettoburi

I received a souvenir from my relative.
Today I'd like to introduce the souvenir.

This is it, "Awa Ettoburi".
This is a souvenir from Tokushima prefecture.
My relative went home from Tokushima for New Year holidays.

Awa is Tokushima's old name.
"Ettoburi" is the words of Awa, it means "Long time no see".

This is one of Japanese sweets which wrapped sweet potato paste in a pie.

This sweet potato paste is containing apple.
That is delicious and not too sweet.

It is so good !!

A huge black cat appeared at JR Kokura Station !!

Last time, I introduced the provincial tour of a huge black cat by kuronekoyamato.
In fact, the huge black cat appeared at JR Kokura Station for three days from January 9 to January 11.

I met with a black cat accidentally on the morning of January 9.
I was surprised by the size that cat.

I touched with the tail of the black cat.
The sense of touch seemed like a stuffed animal of the degradation over time.
The touch feeling was not so good.

Unfortunately I couldn't get the original goods, but I was glad to meet the huge black cat !!

I wonder where the huge black cat appears at....

Kuronekoyamato is the nickname of Yamato Transport Company.
The mascot of Yamato Transport Company is a black cat.

This is the huge black cat.
The total length of the cat is 6 meters.

It is so big !!

Yamato Transport Company started to offer the transport service of a small box.
This provincial tour of a huge black cat  is a campaign that let people know the service.
It is the tour around 10 cities of the all over Japan.

It is not announced where the huge black cat goes to.
It is for avoiding confusion.

When people push the nose of the huge black cat, small boxes come out of the mouth.
There are original goods of the black cat in the small boxes.
People can get the goods on a first-come-first sold basis.

I received a souvenir from my work colleagues.
Today I'd like to introduce the souvenir.

This is it, "Uni Senbei".
This is a souvenir from Shimonoseki-city,Yamaguchi prefecture.

Uni means sea urchin eggs.
This souvenir is a rice cracker which mixed with sea urchin eggs.

This rice cracker is very crunchy.
It has salty and sweet tastes.

Today I'd like to introduce the green tea sweets.

This is the product,"Brilliant Truffe  melty green tea".
It is sold by Bourbon.

It is a new product released on December 1, 2015.
That product is limited to the winter season.

There are about 20 chocolates of individual package in this product and the price is around 300 yen.

It is the truffle chocolate which coated Uji powdered green tea on the surface.

It has excellent melt in the mouth.
The fragrance of the green tea is so good.
The taste seems like the chocolates which sold at the store specializing in chocolate.
