Omisoka is the last day of the year. 

This day is the busiest and lively day in Japan.

KitKat Ginger

I introduced that Japanese KitKat has various flavors before.

Today I'd like to introduce a new KitKat.

This is it, "KitKat Ginger".

It is released on December 13, 2016. 

This kitkat is on sale for a limited time. 

It is a mouthful size of KitKat. 

The powder of ginger is kneaded between wafers. 

The fragrance of ginger is strong.

It is so delicious.

A souvenir : Otemoyan

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

Today I'd like to introduce the souvenir of Kumamoto.

This is "Otemoyan".
It is a famous confection of Kumamoto.

"Otemoyan" is the name of the folk song of Kumamoto, and it is also meaning of a young woman.

It is a kind of steamed bun.
The dough of outside is made with rice flour.

It is filling with red bean jam and milk cream.
The dough has the soft texture such as the rice cake.
It is sweet and delicious !!!

Kitkat Kumamoto-cha

This is May in Japan.

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

Today I'd like to introduce the souvenir of Kumamoto.

This is "Kitkat Kumamoto-cha".
This Kitkat is sold only at Kyusyu area and Okinawa prefecture.

This 1 box includes 12 packs of kitkat.
The price is around 820 yen.
20 yen of the price is contributed to money of reconstruction aid of the Kumamoto earthquake.

There are the character of Kumamon on the package.
Kumamon is the Kumamoto prefecture's official mascot character.
It is so cute !!

This chocolate is made of bitter chocolate.

The powder of Kumamoto tea is kneaded between wafers.
It has the taste of green tea and the bitterness of bitter chocolate.
It smells tea !

It is delicious and not too sweet.

Kumamoto day trip : 10

This is May in Japan.

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

After we ate the local dishes in Kumamoto at the tourist facility, "Sakura no Baba Johsaien", we had a look at Kumamoto Castle.
Kumamoto Castle suffered serious damage by the earthquake disaster of Kumamoto in April, 2016.
It's prohibited to enter that area of Kumamoto castle, so we just looked the castle outside of area.

The stone walls have collapsed in many places.

It is very sad that a historic building collapses...
I felt sad very much, when I looked at that scenery.


I pray for the early reconstruction of Kumamoto from my heart...

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We enjoyed to eat the local dishes in Kumamoto, at the tourist facility, "Sakura no Baba Johsaien".

We visited the cafe, "Shiratama Shinzaburo".
This is the Japanese traditional sweets shop.
It is famous for the desserts using  the refined rice flour.

This is "Shiratama Waffle (Musya)".
This is a waffle made from the refined rice flour.
It is filling with the sweet potato jam and red bean jam.

The waffle is so sticky !!
The sweet potato jam and red bean jam is sweet and delicious !
It is very tasty !!

We ate too much at there...

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We enjoyed to eat the local dishes in Kumamoto, at the tourist facility, "Sakura no Baba Johsaien".

The next, I ate an ice cream !!
I bought an ice cream at this shop.
This shop is not the ice cream shop, it is  a long-established Japanese-style confectionary store.
The  a long-established Japanese-style confectionary store is "Kobai".

Kobai is famous for a Japanese-style confectionery, "Homare no Jindaiko".
I introduced "Homare no Jindaiko" before.

I ate an ice cream that "Homare no Jindaiko" was mixed.
The name is "Jindaiko Soft".
The price is 360 yen.

The ice cream is containing red bean jam and Turkish delight.
It is so delicious !!
I really like it !!

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We enjoyed to eat the local dishes in Kumamoto, at the tourist facility, "Sakura no Baba Johsaien".

This is the shop of "Ikinari Dango".
The name of the shop is "Ikinari ya Watanabe".

This is "Ikinari Dango".
It is a kind of steamed buns.
It is a local sweet of Kumamoto Prefecture.

This is a steamed bun of bean jam and sweet potato, covered with buns.
The sweet potato matches bean jam well.
The steamed bun is sticky.

It is sweet and delicious !!

We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We visited the place that we can enjoy to eat the local dishes in Kumamoto.

This is the place, "Sakura no Baba Johsaien".
It is located near the Kumamoto Castle.

"Sakura no Baba Johsaien" is a tourist facility.
There are 23 stores of the local dishes.
There are the facility of the history culture of Kumamoto Castle, and the souvenir shops.

We enjoyed to eat the local dishes in Kumamoto, there.

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We went to the place that we can see Kumamon.

This is the place, "Kumamon Square".
This is the base of Kumamon, and people can see Kumamon.

Unfortunately I couldn't see Kumamon, because Kumamon was busy, on that day.

I really recommend that you check the schedule of Kumamon before you go Kumamoto.

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We saw "Kumamon " at everywhere in Kumamoto city.
Kumamon is the Kumamoto prefecture's official mascot character.

Kumamon is so cute !
I really love Kumamon !!

I found the bar of Kumamon !!
The bar didn't open yet.
I really wanted to visit there.

We went to the place that we can see Kumamon.

Hello.

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We went to a long-established confectionery store in Kumamoto.

The long-established confectionery store is "SWISS".
SWISS was established in 1962.
Now, it is a chain of confectionery stores in Kumamoto.

The speciality of SWISS is this cake, "Liqueur marron".
The manufacturing method of this cake from establishment is not changed.
The price is 280 yen.

It is made of sponge cake soaked by liqueur syrup, and full with butter cream with chestnuts.
The liqueur of sponge cake smells good
The butter cream is so smooth.

It is very tasty !!
It is so big, but I can eat it, because of nice taste.

Kumamoto day trip : 2

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We visited to "Kou ran tei" to eat a lunch.
It is famous as an old restaurant of Chinese food in the downtown of Kumamoto.

The speciality of the restaurant is "Taipien".
It is the local delicacy of Kumamoto.

"Taipien" is one of the noodles dishes.
It is a dish of spring rain soup with sauteed vegetables and seafood.
The soup is mixed chicken bone white broth with pork bone broth.

It is very delicious !!
I really like it !!

The price is 780 yen.
It is a very reasonable price !!

When you visit Kumamoto, you must eat this "Taipien".

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

The powerful earthquakes hit Kumamoto in April.
Kumamoto took on a lot of damage from the earthquake.
The tourists decreased by the earthquake.

I thought that the trip to Kumamoto was reconstruction assistance, so we went there.

There are a lot of slogans written "Gan barou, Kumamoto !".
"Gan barou, Kumamoto !" means "We can do our best for rehabilitation of Kumamoto."

I feel that people of Kumamoto are very strong !!

The new product :Kinoko no yama "Ichigo milk"

I introduced the long-seller product of sweets,"Kinoko no yama" before.

I found the new product of Kinoko no yama, so I'd like to introduce it. 

This is it, Kinoko no yama "Ichigo milk".

It is a new product released on November 29, 2016.

Ichigo means strawberry.

It is a time-limited product.

This is a chocolate snack which mushroom-shaped.

The snack is made of 2 kinds of chocolate of strawberry and white chocolate.

It has the sour-sweet taste of strawberry, and the rich taste of milk. 

It is so nice. 

I enjoy playing Nintendo Classic mini Family Computer.

I got "Nintendo Classic mini Family Computer".
It is the video game which we can play the old video games.

This video game is equipped with 30 kinds of games beforehand.
I can choose the game, and play the game.

I played the game, "Super Mario Brothers".

When I was a child, I played this video game easily.
But it was very difficult to play it now.


I'm going to be obsessed with playing this video game.

I got "Nintendo Classic mini Family Computer" !!

Do you know "Nintendo Classic mini Family Computer" ??

It is the most popular video game in Japan, now.
It is very difficult to buy it.

It was released on November 10, 2016, but it soon sold out.
They currently don't sell the video game.

However, I was making a reservation on November 15,  and I could purchase it the other day !!

It is a video game of the miniature size that downsized old Family Computer in about 60%.
The video game has 30 softwares beforehand.

The price is 5980 yen + tax.

It is the very small video game.
It is difficult to play games by this small controller !!

I return to a child's mind and want to play games !!

The MOS Burger : The Rice Burger "Kimpira"

Today I'd like to introduce my favorite menu of the MOS Burger.

This is the menu, "The Rice Burger "Kimpira".
The rice burger is a burger using rice in substitution for buns.

The price is 340 yen.

Kimpira is a kind of Japanese homemade meal which chopped burdock root cooked in sugar and soy sauce.
The texture of burdock is good.
The taste of soy sauce matches rice well.

Cup Noodles :Cup Noodles Light plus Borsch

Cup Noodles is the world-famous instant noodles.
There are various flavors of Cup Noodles in Japan.

Today I'd like to introduce the new product of Cup Noodles.

This is the new product," Cup Noodles Light plus Borsch".
It is released on December 5, 2016.

It is a product which based on Borsch.
Borsch is a Russian soup.

The ingredient are onion, carrot, kidney beans, cabbage, seasoning beef mince.
The soup is made of beef, onion, tomato.
It has the heavy taste of beef and tomato.

It is good to eat in the winter !!

It is sold by only convenience stores.

It is a new product released on November 15, 2016.

The price is around 130 yen. 

It is a strawberry cake filled with strawberry cream.

The cake dough is so moist.

The strawberry cream has the taste of sour and sweet. 

It is good. 

New ! Nanban Orai Hakata Amao

Today I'd like to introduce the green tea sweets.

This is Nanban Orai Hakata Amao.

It is sold at Sakaeya's shop.

I introduced Sakaeya's shop before. 

It is a new product released in the end of November, 2016.

It is a time-limited product.

This is the sweets which wrapped the strawberry jam and the sponge cake of strawberry in a pie.

The kind of strawberry is HAKATA AMAO. 

HAKATA AMAO is the expensive strawberry. 

It has the taste and the flavor of strawberry strangely. 

It is very delicious !!
