Japanese traditional sweets shop : Amami-Chaya

I went to Beppu city,Oita prefecture, the other day.

I visited the Japanese traditional sweets shop in Beppu city.
Today I'd like to introduce the sweets shop.

This is the Japanese traditional sweets shop, "Amami-Chaya".
It is located in Jissoji, Beppu-city, Oita Prefecture.
Amami means sweets, Chaya means tea-house.

It is an old Japanese house among trees.
It looks antiquated !!

This is the entrance.
It is a very cool !!

I'll introduce the menu of sweets, next time.

A souvenir : Senba Kotanuki

I received a souvenir from my work colleagues.
Today I'd like to introduce the souvenir.

This is "Senba Kotanuki".
This is a souvenir from Kumamoto prefecture.

It is a steamed bun shaped like the face of raccoon.
Kotanuki means raccoon of child.
Senba is a kind of area, the area is famous of the children's song, "Anta gata Dokosa".
The children's song begins with raccoon.

It is a bite-sized steamed bun which filled with white bean jam.
This is sweet and delicious.

Unique soybean milk : SOY- PREMIUM Tea

It is the tea with soybean milk.
This drink is made by tea leaf of Uva.

It is the popular sweets in Malaysia and Singapore.
It is the dessert containing sweet potato, beans, rice cakes in coconut milk.

We eat by mixing coconuts milk with all of ingredients.
It is so sweet and good !!

It is a very popular product.

The price is around 250 yen.

This is the chocolate containing 70% of cacao.

This chocolate tastes bitter.
It is so tasty !!
