This is "Karukan".
This is a souvenir from Oita prefecture.
Karukan is steamed sweet bun made from grated yam and rice flour.
It is a well-known confectionery originating in Kagoshima prefecture.
However, it is sold as a souvenir in Oita since long ago.
It is the steamed sweet bun containing bean jam.
The dough of steamed sweet bun is sticky.
It is sweet and delicious !
