Kumamoto day trip : 10

Hello.
This is May in Japan.

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

After we ate the local dishes in Kumamoto at the tourist facility, "Sakura no Baba Johsaien", we had a look at Kumamoto Castle.
Kumamoto Castle suffered serious damage by the earthquake disaster of Kumamoto in April, 2016.
It's prohibited to enter that area of Kumamoto castle, so we just looked the castle outside of area.

The stone walls have collapsed in many places.

It is very sad that a historic building collapses...
I felt sad very much, when I looked at that scenery.


I pray for the early reconstruction of Kumamoto from my heart...

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We enjoyed to eat the local dishes in Kumamoto, at the tourist facility, "Sakura no Baba Johsaien".

We visited the cafe, "Shiratama Shinzaburo".
This is the Japanese traditional sweets shop.
It is famous for the desserts using  the refined rice flour.

This is "Shiratama Waffle (Musya)".
This is a waffle made from the refined rice flour.
It is filling with the sweet potato jam and red bean jam.

The waffle is so sticky !!
The sweet potato jam and red bean jam is sweet and delicious !
It is very tasty !!

We ate too much at there...

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We enjoyed to eat the local dishes in Kumamoto, at the tourist facility, "Sakura no Baba Johsaien".

The next, I ate an ice cream !!
I bought an ice cream at this shop.
This shop is not the ice cream shop, it is  a long-established Japanese-style confectionary store.
The  a long-established Japanese-style confectionary store is "Kobai".

Kobai is famous for a Japanese-style confectionery, "Homare no Jindaiko".
I introduced "Homare no Jindaiko" before.

I ate an ice cream that "Homare no Jindaiko" was mixed.
The name is "Jindaiko Soft".
The price is 360 yen.

The ice cream is containing red bean jam and Turkish delight.
It is so delicious !!
I really like it !!

We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We enjoyed to eat the local dishes in Kumamoto, at the tourist facility, "Sakura no Baba Johsaien".

This is the shop of "Ikinari Dango".
The name of the shop is "Ikinari ya Watanabe".

This is "Ikinari Dango".
It is a kind of steamed buns.
It is a local sweet of Kumamoto Prefecture.

This is a steamed bun of bean jam and sweet potato, covered with buns.
The sweet potato matches bean jam well.
The steamed bun is sticky.

It is sweet and delicious !!

We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We visited the place that we can enjoy to eat the local dishes in Kumamoto.

This is the place, "Sakura no Baba Johsaien".
It is located near the Kumamoto Castle.

"Sakura no Baba Johsaien" is a tourist facility.
There are 23 stores of the local dishes.
There are the facility of the history culture of Kumamoto Castle, and the souvenir shops.

We enjoyed to eat the local dishes in Kumamoto, there.

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We went to the place that we can see Kumamon.

This is the place, "Kumamon Square".
This is the base of Kumamon, and people can see Kumamon.

Unfortunately I couldn't see Kumamon, because Kumamon was busy, on that day.
You can check the schedule of Kumamon on the web site of official HP.
I really recommend that you check the schedule of Kumamon before you go Kumamoto.

The special ability of Kumamon is good at dancing.
You can see the dance of Kumamon at this place.

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We saw "Kumamon " at everywhere in Kumamoto city.
Kumamon is the Kumamoto prefecture's official mascot character.

Kumamon is so cute !
I really love Kumamon !!

I found the bar of Kumamon !!
The bar didn't open yet.
I really wanted to visit there.

We went to the place that we can see Kumamon.

Hello.
This is May in Japan.

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We went to a long-established confectionery store in Kumamoto.

The long-established confectionery store is "SWISS".
SWISS was established in 1962.
Now, it is a chain of confectionery stores in Kumamoto.

The speciality of SWISS is this cake, "Liqueur marron".
The manufacturing method of this cake from establishment is not changed.
The price is 280 yen.

It is made of sponge cake soaked by liqueur syrup, and full with butter cream with chestnuts.
The liqueur of sponge cake smells good
The butter cream is so smooth.

It is very tasty !!
It is so big, but I can eat it, because of nice taste.

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

We visited to "Kou ran tei" to eat a lunch.
It is famous as an old restaurant of Chinese food in the downtown of Kumamoto.

The speciality of the restaurant is "Taipien".
It is the local delicacy of Kumamoto.

"Taipien" is one of the noodles dishes.
It is a dish of spring rain soup with sauteed vegetables and seafood.
The soup is mixed chicken bone white broth with pork bone broth.

It is very delicious !!
I really like it !!

The price is 780 yen.
It is a very reasonable price !!

When you visit Kumamoto, you must eat this "Taipien".

I went to Kumamoto with my mother and my older sister in early December.
We went for a one-day trip to Kumamoto.

The powerful earthquakes hit Kumamoto in April.
Kumamoto took on a lot of damage from the earthquake.
The tourists decreased by the earthquake.

I thought that the trip to Kumamoto was reconstruction assistance, so we went there.

There are a lot of slogans written "Gan barou, Kumamoto !".
"Gan barou, Kumamoto !" means "We can do our best for rehabilitation of Kumamoto."

I feel that people of Kumamoto are very strong !!
