It is similar to western confectionery which wrapped cheese paste in biscuit dough or scorn dough.
It is very delicious.

Homare no Jindaiko is a famous confection of Kumamoto prefecture.

Kumamoto prefecture is located in the center of Kyushu Island.

There is the Kumamoto Castle and it has a long history.

This is "Homare no Jindaiko".

It is a Japanese-style confectionery which is made by jellifying red bean jam containing Turkish delight.

It isn't as sweet as it looks,it's delicious.

Xavier is a famous confection of Oita prefecture.

Oita prefecture is a prefecture of Japan on Kyushu Island, and it is the hometown of my parents.
I'm familiar with this famous confection from childhood.

This is "Xavier".
There are two types, white bean jam and the lamb raisin.

It is the semi-Western style baked confectionery which biscuit dough filled with white bean jam or lamb raisin.
The flavor of Xavier is so good and very delicious.

You can purchase it anywhere in Oita prefecture.

Tsuruhei's Pontsuku which I introduced last time.
Today I'd like to introduce "Kokura Niki"of Tsuruhei.

This is "Kokura Niki".

It is a small baumkuchen containing vanilla cream.
It's small and delicious,so I eat a lot !!
It is also popular among people of all ages.

The famous confection of Kitakyusyu, Pontsuku

Today I'd like to introduce "Pontsuku".

This is "Pontsuku".
Pontsuku is a famous confection of Kitakyusyu.
It is popular as well as "Gion Daiko" and "Kuri Manju" of Kogetsudo in Kitakyusyu.
Pontsuku is sold at Tsuruhei's shop.
The head office of Tsuruhei is in Kitakyusyu, Fukuoka.
Although its scale is small, Tsuruhei has a long history being established in 1923.

Pontsuku is a sponge cake manju with custard cream in it.

The custard cream has rich flavor,it is yummy!!
It is popular among people of all ages.

Today I'd like to introduce "Gion Daiko"of Kogetsudo.

Gion Daiko is also the representative sweets of Kitakyusyu.
Gion Daiko is popular as well as "Kuri Manju" at Kogetsudo's shop.

This is "Gion Daiko".

Gion Daiko is one of Japanese sweets which wrapped bean jam in a pie.
That tastes so good.

The origin of the name "Gion Daiko" is the form resembles a Japanese drum at Kokura Gion festival.

This is the main store of Kogetsudo in Kitakyusyu-city, Fukuoka.
Kogetsudo operate over 40 stores primarily in Kitakyusyu-city,

Kuri Manju is one of traditional Japanese confectioneries which made from sweet bean paste and chestnuts.
It is a representative sweets of Kogetsudo.
This Kuri Manju is popular in Kitakyusyu, especially elderly people love it.
It is very tasty.
