the fireworks display in Japan

Hello.
This is May in Japan.

Today I'd like to introduce the fireworks display in Japan.

There are a lot of firework displays in Japan during the summer.

There are a lot of firework displays in Japan during the summer.
This is because there is the Bon Festival in the summer.
The Bon Festival is the events to worship the souls of ancestors held in Japan.

During the season of Bon,the summer festivals are held everywhere in Japan.
There are fireworks at the end of the festival, because the fireworks have the meaning of the requiem to a dead person.

I love the fireworks display, because the fireworks display of Japan is worth seeing.

I recommend seeing the fireworks display if you are ever able to come to Japan in the summer.

The summer vacation of children in Japan

Hello.
This is May in Japan.

Today I'd like to introduce the summer vacation of children in Japan.

Most schools in Japan are on summer vacation from around July 20 until the end of August.
In regions with heavy snowfalls and in cold areas, summer vacation is from the end of July to the middle of August, but winter vacation is longer than other areas.

Japanese children are busy during summer vacation, because they have a lot of homework such as diaries, book reports, free study.
I studied the morning glory as a free study in a childhood.

Summer vacation will end soon, so Japanese children are frantically trying to finish their summer homework.

I wish I had long summer vacation...

Japanese characters

Hello.
This is May in Japan.

Today I'd like to introduce Japanese characters.

It is difficult for a foreigner to study Japanese, because we use KANJI,HIRAGANA and KATAKANA, three kinds of characters in Japanese.
Even Japanese people think that it is difficult to study Japanse.
Actually,I was very bad at national language(Japanese) when I was a student.

The character which Japanese people learn for the first time is HIRAGANA.

HIRAGANA characters.

HIRAGANA is Japanese basic character.
HIRAGANA is used mainly in the following scene.
・a blend of kanji, katakana, and hiragana
・a pronunciation of kanji
・the inflection of an ending and particle
・useing for name of women,sometimes
etc...

KATAKANA characters.

Japanese people learn KATAKANA next to HIRAGANA.
KATAKANA is used mainly in the following scene.
・a blend of kanji, katakana, and hiragana
・loan‐word
・foreign person's name, place name
・onomatopoeia and mimetic words
etc...

KANJI characters.

KANJI is the character with origin in ancient China.
KANJI is used for a word to express a substantial meaning, and a proper noun.

We put these characters together and express Japanese.
For example, I'll put the following passage into Japanese.

English :  My name is May.
Japanese: 私の名前はめいです。

It is difficult to learn Japanese, but Japanese is very profound and interesting !!
